The Association
The Associative Project

The Association aims to safeguard and restore the last public Moulin Cavier from Saumur.
Its purpose is to make known this atypical place in the middle of the Vines located in the Hauts Quartiers de Saumur by various animations during the year.
Its aim is to create intergenerational mutual aid and conviviality through this place.
It allows through its activities to work with the local press (Courrier de L'Ouest, Info Locale,
the Kiosk, the Tourist Office), with the town of Saumur and loyal partners such as:
Super U Saumur, the Moulin de Sarré, Poissonnerie Common, the Caves de Grenelle.
Our activities are many and varied:
- Feast of Saint Jean at the end of June in partnership with the City of Saumur
(Entertainment, on-site catering, fire and musical group, etc.)
- Heritage Days to discover our site, our progress in the works.
- Hikes in the surrounding vineyards in April and October with refueling mid-term.
Finally, our goal is to obtain subsidies in order to continue the restoration work (consolidation of the massereau and the vaults) and to create new partnerships so that the mill can regain its wings.
